ARCNET

The ARCNET protocol was developed in the 1970s by the Datapoint Corporation. ARCNET normally operates at 2.5 Mbps and runs over coaxial cable but can be implemented over structured cabling or fibre. The protocol is similar to Token Ring in operation but operates over a bus, star or daisy chain configuration.
